What we use

TopixBox uses localStorage (not cookies) to store your anonymous UUID identity, your nickname, and your preferred locale. No tracking cookies. No advertising cookies. No third-party analytics.

Session

A session cookie is used only to protect forms from CSRF attacks. It contains no personal information and is strictly necessary for the application to function.

Edge & infrastructure

Cloudflare (our CDN and DDoS protection layer) and our hosting provider IONOS process your IP address transiently to route requests. Sentry receives error telemetry when something fails. None of these set tracking cookies. See the Privacy Policy for full processor details.

How to clear your data

Clear your browser's localStorage to remove your UUID. This will generate a new anonymous identity on your next visit.
